Navigation

The look has changed slightly and the pages showing different types of merchandise have been increased in number, with less items per page, and the former "Other Stuff" page now is subdivided in "Books", "Magazines" and "Others". The Homepage Menu reflects partially this change. The links to the Postcards and the Prints now will bring you to the respective first page of each kind. the link to "Others" will bring you to the page with "miscellaneous objects". In the internal pages the menu has three dropdown sections, which can be revealed by bringing the mouse pointer on the menu items bearing a wolfhound head. There the books, magazines and other objects are under the heading "Diverse". The menu items without the wolfhound head are single pages.

Normally there shouldn't be a scrollbar on the right side of the window, nor on the bottom. The pages with enough content will show a scrollbar just to the right of the central picture (a view of the Rolling Hills of the Borders) which constitutes the background of the page's content. The Homepage and the "Aboutme" page do not have a scrollbar.

On each page there is a small "stamp" with a code (a QR-code with the link to the page) that you can scan with a mobile device like a phone or a tablet, and you can memorise it and open the page at a later time in your mobile device.

NOTE: The website is not optimized yet for mobile devices, especially those with a smaller screen. The webmaster will work on it as soon as possible.

Should your screen be set at a low resolution and thus not able to show properly the central area, all major browsers have a zoom function and even a full-screen feature and this should help you enjoy the website. Unfortunately Internet Explorer 8 and previous versions do not support some of the not yet standard but universally accepted features of CSS, the language by which a programmer tells the browser how to interpret and render the html elements which form the content of a webpage. There are, anyway, several very good browsers which can be downloaded for free and help your navigation on the Web. For any questions related to browsing these pages you can send an email to the webmaster
