This book is for the true dog book collector, a Margaret S. Johnson First Edition 1944.
Probably an old school book - some pencil markings which I hesitate to erase. In quite good condition for its age with lovely illustrations.

# 41 - "Only A Dog"
This book was written by Dr. Grover Krantz, he of the "BigFoot" fame. It is his own true story of his life with his wolfhound during a very difficult period of his life.
Must warn you though to have a tissue beside you as you read.
This book has been reprinted, in June 2008, in force of an agreement
between Mrs Diane Horton, Dr. Krantz's widow, and Professor William Meacham of Hong Kong.

This issue is special though as it has 9 pages of top Irish wolfhound judges choosing their all time favourite wolfhounds. A really good read.
